Welcome to sMegabyte LAN.
This is the Rules page for sMegabyte LAN

I want to protect my friends and family.
This is the most important rule.  I want to provide a video gaming experience for my friends and family that is safe and fun.  So I limit access to sMegabyte to people who I trust.  So I don't really play on the net very much against real people.  So I really just play games against bots and I set up players vs bots games.  So I don't put up with cussing and cheating.

I want control over all major aspects of the LAN party.
This is important.  I don't like surprises.  So I use passwords to limit people's access to games, VoIP, and file servers.  I really only want to play with people I know and have control/influence over.  So I can moderate their behavior if I need to.  Happily, my need to moderate behavior has only occurred once.

Permission must be obtained to learn about sMegabyte LAN parties.
I control people and protect family by controlling information.  The information necessary to play games on the sMegabyte LAN is not given on this web site.  I email it to people who I want to play with.  Becoming a person I want to play with requires that we know each other somehow, either in the real or virtual worlds.  You can email me (listed on the index page) to start the process of knowing each other.
